I used the Microsoft free download of Photostory. Perhaps this canbe used as a method of teaching and learning for authentic tasks, particularly now with a lot of students having smart phones, they can take a picture of the scenario, follow the process of the treatment, eg surgery is a case in point then load up images of the step by step approach to suturing etc or removal of a lesion. Plastering is another authentic tasks, how to apply a plaster cast or demonstrate use of crutches, the learning scenarios are endless .
I understand Photosynth may be another useful e-tool to integrate learning into photos.
